The Kwathu Upgrade program saw the 10 participants attend a 5 day-long workshop that included different lessons from facilitators in different sectors of the music industry.

Within the component of the Kwathu Upgrade, the participants also had to work together in collaboration to create a song that represented them individually and as Malawian artists collectively.

The event was live broadcast on Facebook and graced by live performances from the talents of Tiya Joan, Joe Kellz, Mirriam Nkosi, Yang Chitika, and rapper Episodz.

GrisVer and Cap10 showcased their talents by DJ/Sound Engineering at the event.
